Madison LOVES drawing and creating and doing 'crafts.' Right now she is working on making every single one of her classmates masks (for some unknown reason - but whatever, it keeps her busy). She loves drawing pictures and is very detailed.
This is one of her recent family portraits. I love it for so many reasons. It's hanging in our kitchen right now.
This was a random family portrait with me yelling and angry at the boys. Madison is in a chair with Cooper at her feet, Carter is hanging on my legs, and my Dad is holding Tucker. Josh is in the background. This one is NOT hanging anywhere.
Madison has been learning SOOOOO much in Kindergarten this year. The first half of the year was definitely a lot of work as M was learning how to read. In the past month or so, I've seen her reading skills really grow. She doesn't struggle as much, and she is much better at figuring out words and trying to spell words.
She has also been really into creating books. She wrote and illustrated this book for me about me.
'A mom is nice to her kids.'
'A mom is nice to her friends.' (She told me I was the shortest one in blue.)
'A mom helps her kids.'
'She buys toys for our family.' (That's a bag of toys, and me coming up our stairs through the gate. It is not me with a ball and chain. ;-/)
'The end.'
She wrote this awhile ago. And, her writing has already improved from this.
